Teams of 6-8 students from high schools across Idaho will be invited to participate in the ULeadIdaho competition. A qualified teacher / advisor from the school, B|Launched alumni and ULeadIdaho business mentors will be assigned to each student team.

Each team will develop a viable company idea, research the industry and prepare a fully fleshed out business plan and pitch presentation. The teams will pitch their idea to a panel of distinguished judges from around the State of Idaho, which will determine which teams presented the most viable company idea. The first and second place team members will win scholarship money (in the form of 529 plans).

The goal is to create an environment with the real-time application of starting a business with the people, resources and commitment necessary, so that students gain perspective on what it actually takes to start a business from beginning to end.
